As a copywriter for Michigan’s largest media and marketing company, I’m always mindful of journalists like Stephen Henderson and Nolan Finley who engage the massive audience we reach.
How do they do it? For starters, by writing with a fluid grace that takes years of experience and boatloads of talent to master.
But like any skilled journalist, they also understand the basic tenets of effective storytelling. They're technicians of captivation and clarity, which allows them to write about any topic and usher their readers to the last word.
If you apply some of the same journalistic principles, you'll be glad to know that gaining traction in content marketing doesn't demand a Pulitzer on your mantel. Copyblogger's Julia Ogden runs through the most important basics to help find your footing right away.
